Vestibular Rehabilitation

One of the most common causes of dizziness and vertigo is benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). BPPV affects semicircular canal, which is a balancing mechanism of the inner ear.

Vestibular rehabilitation is an exercise-based approach to treat the inner ear problem. The treatment is most effective for people with symptoms of dizziness which are made worse by things that they do (e.g. bending over, turning around etc.) The exercises that we may prescribe include head exercise, specific eye-head coordinating exercises and balance exercises.
